Blue Iridescent & Streakies

A symphony of blues ... both the platter and its reflected light dance with the iridescent clear band over streaky blues. Blue glass is all transparent ... bordered with opalescent black edges. The transparent colors produce dazzling reflections. 

This piece began with 22 pieces of glass fused together. Dainty horizontal lines were added with 1 mm wide glass threads known as stringers. One of the stringers is iridescent ... creating more depth and sparkle when it catches the light.

This platter is 1/4″ thick and weighs over 3 pounds. Although it is 100% glass, it is not delicate. Treated with care it can last a lifetime.

Fused glass is never a perfect rectangle or perfect circle. By its very nature, measurements are approximate. This platter is approximately 11-1/2" square.  It is approximately 2" deep.
